Magazine Placemat

Sarah had a friend sleep over on Sunday night and on Monday morning when we woke up, it was dark and gloomy. We had tentative plans to go to the beach or go on the boat, something outdoorsy... but those plans were soon derailed when the skies opened up and it rained....ALLLLLLL day long.

The kids watched a movie but the girls wanted to do some crafts.  Last week on Pinterest I found this cute placemat craft so they set to work cutting and folding magazine pages and 'Viola'! (I helped with the sewing part.)

I can't say it held their particular interest for a long time, since after the first, they didn't want to make another one. But, it was very cute and a good way to repurpose old magazines.
